NORTHERN TERRITORY – AUSTRALIA

From Darwin we embarked on an early morning fishing adventure at Corroboree billabong. An early start will allow you to capture the beauty of the place before the heat sets in. Teaming with native wildlife and waterbirds amongst a colourscope of waterlilies and exotic foliage, the fish were the icing on the cake. Then we were bundled into a small private aircraft for the flight to Maningrida and Barramundi Nature Lodge. This place gave us a truly unique experience. Set high on an enscarpment we would start the day eating a hearty breakfast beneath the Kookaburra trees. Fishing was extensive, and interesting. Exploring the labrinth of waterways in search of the giant Barra was fishing on safari. Crocodiles slides every few metres with many lounging on the muddy river banks; stingers in the water; and a huge 1 metre Barramundi prize for Sandee.
