SUNSHINE COAST TRIP
From Brisbane we drove an hour North into the Sunshine Coast region. This area provides a great family holiday destination without the pace of the Gold Coast. Our first fishing day was on Lake Baroon targeting Bass, Golden Perch, Mary River Cod and anything else that would take a fly. Although unlucky with the fishing, we had some amusement when an excited water dragon burst out of hiding. In full flight it chased Graeme's misguided fly accidentally hooked up on a shrub near the water's edge. The lush enchanting scenery was worth the trip alone, alongside a variety of birdlife and their songs.
